Marshmallow Root – Organic Cut & Sifted

Organic marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis), cut and sifted from the dried root. Pale, fibrous, and faintly sweet, with the soft mucilaginous quality that has kept it in herbal cupboards for centuries.
Traditional Use
A gentle, long-standing garden botanical, traditionally prepared as a cold infusion to preserve its silky texture.
How to Use
* Cold infuse 1 tablespoon in 8 oz of cool water for 4 hours or overnight
* Strain and enjoy, or gently warm before drinking
* Also used in salve and body care preparations
